After your dog has successfully passed the Herding Instinct Testing and you have decided to join the sheep herding community you will need to have access to the proper livestock and training guidance to move forward on your journey. We offer a few different programs to assist you and your dog so as to help you become a first-class herding team. If you have decided that herding is not for you and your dog, we offer a few other options to ensure you and your dog have a wonderful experience.

We take pride in providing professional opinions and consulting services that get results. When it comes to trainers, you get what you pay for. If you look around, you can certainly find cheap training-but what is the quality and the long-lasting results? Unfortunately, we are constantly working with owners and their dogs that have previously been improperly trained through other classes and trainers because they were cheap. If you decide to take that route, you will eventually have to come to someone like myself to fix the problems they create. So save yourself the time and money by hiring the right trainer in the first place.

Here at the Canine Communication Center, we provide customized practical dog training. In the early stages of training, we lay down a liberal foundation of positive reinforcement. Once expectations are clear to your dog we use both a traditional or consequential based behavioral training approach along with a positive reward-based method. Your dog trainer will assess which of these methods will be most effective for your dog, as that is dependent upon your dog's unique personality and temperament. We have several programs that may fit your needs. We offer herding training here at the ranch as well as puppy and obedience training. We also offer an In-Home Training for Puppies and Obedience as well as an In-Home Behavioral Program within a limited geographic area.
